James and I met on Hinge, but little did we know there were so many invisible strings connecting us long before that first message. We quickly realized our worlds had been overlapping for years. He lived with one of my childhood friends, we shared so many mutual friends, and somehow had just never crossed paths at the right time.

Our first date was at Brookhaven Pub, and from that night on we simply never stopped seeing each other. The conversation felt easy, the laughter felt natural, and being together just felt right. Soon there were Grizzlies games cheering in the stands at the Memphis Grizzlies home arena, early breakfasts before church, and dinners cooked by James that made me fall for him even more.

I knew he was the one when he agreed to be my date to my first big work event. I was running around all night, completely in work mode, and he sweetly sat with my mom the entire evening without hesitation. That simple act meant everything to me.

Not long after, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and since then we have traveled to new places, celebrated at so many weddings, moved in together, and dreamed about our future side by side. Every season has only made us stronger.

We are so grateful for the way our story began and even more excited for the life we are building together. We cannot wait to see how our love continues to grow through our marriage, surrounded by the people who have been part of our story all along.
